From the york News times
York Adopt-A-Pet is getting ready to have its annual gala fund-raiser, The Party for the Animals, on April 16 at the Chances R. Tickets are being sold for $30 each and this will include a wonderful meal, plus the opportunity to bid on some very exceptional silent and live auction items. But the best part is the money will be going to a good cause in caring for the animals at our shelter. It is a busy month as we are seeing our new shelter come to life before our eyes. In less than a month we will be occupying it and a long time dream will have come true for many hard working individuals. Every day new items are coming in for our auction and I am amazed at the generosity of people and we are all so appreciative of their willingness to help.
Here is a preview of some of the things that will be there.

A flat screen television, a quilt called Cat Stairway to Heaven (created by a master quilter), a condo weekend in the Ozarks, dinner for four by Sautterbaum Catering, collector item NU autographed footballs, autographed items from the gold medal Olympic bobsled team, framed photos of Ndamukong Suh (pictured) taken by Steve Moseley, a painting (pictured) of Barney, (one of our shelter dogs) by a popular artist in Seattle, Margaret Parkinson (visit her Web site on www.margarethparkinson.com), a life-size wood carving of a fox kit by Joe White and Husker football tickets. These are just some of the items that will be available.
